No. Your writing is used only to generate your book. We do not train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model using your content. To generate your book, your content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API — Anthropic's API usage policy states that data submitted via API is not used to train their models. We do not use any other AI providers with your content.
Who sees my content inside Chaptered?
Only the Chaptered team member working on your project. We do not share your content with other creators, contractors, or third parties. Your posts are treated with the same confidentiality as a private manuscript sent to a publisher.
If I share a Google Drive link, who can access that folder?
Only someone with the link you share. We recommend sharing with "Anyone with link — Viewer" access. After we've received your content, you can revoke access to the Drive link at any time — it won't affect our ability to complete your book (we download a copy when you submit).
What happens to my content after the project ends?
We keep your content for as long as your project is active and you may need revisions. We don't auto-delete anything — your data stays until you ask us to remove it. Use the deletion request form and we'll remove everything within 48 hours.
I changed my mind. Can I pull out mid-project and delete everything?
Yes, at any time. Use the deletion request form — it takes under a minute. Choose exactly what you want deleted (content, drafts, all records, or everything), and we'll confirm removal within 48 hours. No questions asked. You can also email hello@trychaptered.com directly if you prefer.
Does Chaptered own the book it helps me create?
No. The book is entirely yours. Your original writing is yours, the AI-generated draft is yours, and the final book is yours. Chaptered claims no ownership, license, or rights over anything we help you create.
